I used to lay down a towel over our playing surface to prevent sliding chips and cards and also to protect my wooden table. This looks much nicer! I store it rolled up instead of folded because the creases are hard to flatten out.

That being said, it does a decent job of making a hard table top seem like a regular card playing table. one complaint i have is that the green felt material sheds a little and gets on your clothes.
