From the supplier: 'St. Louis Post-Dispatch' regional columnist Bill McClellan deserves some commendation on his Apr 20, 1997 article about the sad situation of the cleaning personnel of the Busch Stadium. The column reported on the pay cut and loss of health benefits that the employees had to take in exchange for keeping their jobs. Meanwhile, editor Cole Campbell is being criticized for his failure to thoroughly cover the timely, socially relevant issue, despite his advocacy of public journalism. Although the Post seems more readable and business-friendly under his leadership, it has failed to adopt more intelligent and insightful reporting.
