George Gershwin plays George Gershwin List Price: $34.98 Sale Price: $18.95 Used From: $16.89 |
|
The first of these two discs gathers all Gershwin's commercially issued discs as a pianist, including the two abridged Rhapsody in Blue traversals, Gershwin accompanying the Astaire siblings, and twelve solo sides. Hearing the composer play his own music is like getting your ears cleaned out from 75 years of interpretive maulings. Gershwin's crisp touch, clear-cut and unsentimental phrasing, and rhythmic verve comes through more convincingly in these flat discs than in his much-vaunted piano rolls. Also included are the composer-supervised first recordings of An American in Paris and selections from Porgy & Bess, along with a flawed yet revelatory aircheck of Gershwin playing the finale of his concerto. No Gershwin lover should be without this important collection. --Jed Distler |

Online craps is one of the most entertaining casino games. If the players bet properly in this game of chance, they can actually lower the casino advantage and increase their own odds of winning. In this game, the odds are better than the other games influenced by luck such as roulette, slots or baccarat. There aren't many rules involved here and hence it is highly preferred by a lot of novice players.
The only thing required in a game of craps is the art to bet correctly. This shall reduce the casino advantage greatly. It has to be remembered that every time the dice is thrown, the outcomes is irrelevant to the previous outcomes and there is no such system that can predict the outcome accurately. Therefore it becomes necessary to bet with the best odds. The players need to know the pass-line bet and also understand how the odds are applied in the game of craps. There are more than 40 different bets that could be applied in online craps; however a majority of them could be ignored since they favor the casino.
As far as craps is concerned, there is a bet which is called the 'odds' bet. This bet gives a minimal advantage to the casino and thus it is not drawn on the traditional table format. To elaborate further on the pass-line bets, the players are required to place this bet first. This bet happens before a new shooter starts rolling the dice. Once the first roll is made, you can place your 'odds' bet directly after the 'passionate' bet. Now if we look at the outcomes, if the shooter hits the point, the player would be paid one on one and the player can also get the real odds for the odds bet.
It is important to remember that 4 and 10 are easy rolls, whereas 5 and 9 are fairly harder to achieve. On the other hand, 6 or 8 are the hardest to nail down. There are a few of the online casinos that would allow the players to take double bets on the pass-line. If you've been searching for something more than a grubby football shirt, then stop scouring the shops and take a closer look at the range offered by Pocket Designs. bet. If we refer the percentages, the casino advantage in pass line bet is 1.41%, however if the player places an odds bet, the odds favor the player. Pass line bets with just one odds bet would leave the casino edge up to 0.85% and a double odds bet would further reduce it to 0.61%. The casinos are definitely trying to make more money out of the betting lines and hence sometimes they allow multiple bets in online craps.
Online craps is a lot of fun and the only skill required here is the skill of identifying your bets properly. By following the above mentioned betting pattern, any player can make some substantial amount of winnings in online craps. This is purely a game of chance and hence all a player can do is bet his odds of winning.
