Before, I'd blow through $100 before finishing a drink. Now I make more when I'm winning and quit before losing too much. Also, I don't make sucker bets that dealers try to talk you into. Feel more confident when walking up to a craps table- I don't expect to lose; I know I can win!
The best quick start to craps you will ever see. Rating:5 out of 5 stars I bought this book while on a short vacation in Vegas. After reading the book for a half hour, I then went to the craps table with a simple system that gives the best odds. I won. I WON!! And guess what, craps is THE most action packed exciting game (with the best odds for the player - when played correctly) in Las Vegas. I highly recommend it!!
All About Craps Rating:4 out of 5 stars This is a great, responsible guide to casino craps. It presents the basics of the game and educates the reader as to which bets have the least advantage to the house. Thus, the reader learns that some bets are smart and some are "sucker bets".
I especially recommend reading and re-reading chapter four "How To Bet". The author declares, "The small bets are the smart bets!" and adds, "Let the winnings run; lay back or walk away when you're losing." With patience and sound betting, a player actually has a chance of winning big. The author shows the reader mathematically sound betting.
Okay but I wouldn't buy it again. Rating:2 out of 5 stars This book does a decent job of defining and describing craps but John Gollehon is a terrible writer. I would recommend Edwin Silberstang's "Winning Casino Craps" as a much better book for a person who wants to win. After reading Silberstang's book, I won over $800. You will not get that from this book.
