This is the third shuffler I have purchased in as many years. It gets weekly use in our group and works well for the price paid.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when ordering this. We needed a card shuffler but didn't want to spend mega-bucks on a casino quality shuffler. I decided to order this one because we tend to play a lot of card games that require multiple decks of cards. As soon as we started using it I noticed some problems that made using this an issue in any social setting.

1) It's bulky (I realize it's larger because it holds 6 decks, but it's awkward having on a table with 6 or 7 people around).

2) It's loud (and I mean Loud. As soon as you hold the button, it starts roaring away. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but being that card games tend to be played in a social setting, it became a nuisance)

3) You need to run the cards through multiple times (about 8 or so) to get a good shuffle... once again, I wasn't expecting casino quality, but I would've like the convenience of it doing most of the work for me.

4) The plastic drawer that holds the cards in the center is a flimsy plastic that's held in by flimsy plastic clips. There are also no sides on it, so when you remove the card holder, the cards fall all over (maybe it's by design... an extra shuffle, lol)

Out of all of this, we just end up shuffling the cards by hand during the game. For games like "Apples to Apples" we can run the cards through multiple times after the game's over, but the overall experience doesn't motivate us to pull it out of the closet.

It gets the job done for what I paid, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again knowing what it's like.

I received a damaged Shuffler. I returned the Shuffler on December 13, 2008 through the Postal Service for a credit adjustment. It would not let me have a replacement so I have to place another order for one.

We play a lot of hand and foot. The shuffling is hard of the hands. Ordered this shuffler in spite of the mixed reviews and was very suprised. It does a good job, handles the four decks we use very well and is not nearly loud as other smaller machines we have tried.

The 6 Deck shuffler does actually work with 6 decks BUT many of the cards end up on the sides of the shuffler instead of on top of other cards.

So, I guess you get what you pay for. That explains why professional card shufflers cost 10-20 times this one. Works better when 1-2 decks are loaded.

Ok, this is not the highest quality product in the world. But for under $20, it was perfect. I needed to shuffle 50 decks of cards for an event I am doing next week.

The shuffling was relatively good. Sometimes one side would run out of cards before the other, but that was not a problem. I shuffled each set of decks 3 times to ensure they were mixed up. This only took a matter of seconds.

Sometimes some of the unshuffled cards would fall over the side (it would have been nice to have something there to prevent that) and some of the shuffled cards ended up on their side.

I have no idea how durable it is. But it is exactly what I needed.

UPDATE: I originally gave this 4 stars. But it died within 3 weeks. I downgraded it to 2 stars, although 1 might be more accurate.

Unfortunatley for us we throw away the box before we checked to see if the product was working. Only one side of it works so it doesn't shuffle correctly. Make sure you check that it works before we recycle the box.

We live in a small town of 15,000 people and every one in town plays cards, be it bridge or canasta, etc. We usually play once a week at one another homes. All being 70-80-90 we naturally have a hard time shuffling cards and love the card shufflers. We play often enough that we usually go through at least two shuffler's a year. We have tried several brands with all of them so far do a good job just so long. We use six decks of cards and they tend to wear out the plastic rollers that move the cards in the shuffler. If you could come up with something a little more stable it might work a litte longer. However, at $20.00 a shuffler we feel it is still worth the money and keeps us honest.

it works about as good as a 30 dollar card shuffler should. it binds up occasionally, jamming a card sideways instead of flat, but that is fixed easily. fair construction. it's fun as heck to watch. i mean, i wouldn't buy these if i were opening a casino, but for game night, it works well enough.

So far, I have been very pleased with my new 6 Deck Automatic Card Shuffler. We use it for a number of card games like "hand & foot", "Phase 10" and others. It sure makes it easier to get the cards shuffled.

The item was a Christmas gift for my daughter. It had a piece of plastic broken off, and not in the box. It also had a weak spring which made it function poorly. I have one that works fine, so I am familiar with the item. I am sure it was a returned item. However, it wasn't worth the time and trouble for us to return it. I am seriously disappointed with the CONDITION of this item. Someone needs better quality control.

I purchased this use for games such as Canasta, where there are multiple decks of cards and during game play you are building books or Canastas , that consist of same numbered cards. It does not seem to shuffle them very well, so we end up having to shuffle by hand anyway.

I had ordered three of these. Two worked fine but one would not shuffle cards on the right side. I returned it with no cost to me. Another was sent immediately when they were notified, arriving in less than three days. I would certainly use this site again.

I ordered 3 of these card shufflers. One works just fine. On the second one the spring tray doesn't work and on the third one the left side only shuffles intermittently. Obviously they aren't checked to see if they are even working before they are shipped out. I would pay twice as much for a sturdier model.

I returned this card shuffler immediately because the plastic on one of the battery door hinges was broken. I can't tell you if this does a good job shuffling cards but I can tell you that the plastic material used in its construction is so cheaply made that I didn't want a replacement.
